Production software for real organizations, taken from ambiguous requirements to a live, maintained product.

Live Music Todos Santos

A region's music scene lived in scattered flyers and Facebook posts. It needed one calendar the community could maintain itself, in two languages.

The live-music calendar for Todos Santos, Pescadero and Baja California Sur. Venue and artist pages, weekly repeats, community submissions, bilingual EN/ES, and an installable app.

Cheese Monger

Deli staff are not copywriters, and every case label needs merchandising prose. The fix had to live inside the tools they already use at the counter.

A Windows desktop app for deli label merchandising, part of the Shelf2Cart Merchandiser line. Staff type a cheese name or scale PLU, the app pulls the product from the store's database, asks Google's Gemini to write a polished marketing storyline plus structured attributes, then commits the copy straight back to the label system.

Label Line

Label compliance is genuinely intricate and nobody wants a training manual. Turning the real ruleset into a game made the constraints teachable.

My day job, turned into an arcade game. A Phaser web game about running a grocery label station: look up the product, choose the right stock and workflow, print, then inspect every field, from sell-by dates and scale math to allergens and embedded-price barcodes, under production pressure.

SW-04Healthcare, Marketing site, Patient enrollment

PacWest Healthcare

Patients and their families needed to understand a care model that happens at home, then enroll without a phone tree. Clarity mattered more than polish.

Marketing and enrollment site for a mobile healthcare practice in Spokane, WA, bringing primary care, psychiatry, palliative care, and podiatry to patients where they live, from skilled nursing to private homes.

Care where you live

Product Lab

Self-initiated products with real users. Multiplayer systems that exercise real-time state, game logic, and interaction design, each taken from concept to production.

Odd One Asked interface
LAB-01

Odd One Asked

A party game of mutual suspicion. Everyone in the room answers the same question, except one secret player, who gets a slightly different one. Answers are revealed side by side, the interrogation begins, and the table votes on who's lying.

Best with 4 to 10 suspects

Tetridoku interface
LAB-02

Tetridoku

Sudoku crossed with tetrominoes. Drag arcade-style pieces onto the board to rebuild a valid Sudoku grid, where every row, column, and 3x3 box needs digits 1 through 9. Three difficulties, a hint system that costs you stars, and full touch support.

Insert coin to play

BYOMM interface
LAB-03

BYOMM

Build Your Own Murder Mystery, a toolkit for hosting whodunit party events. Create a new case, invite your players, run the night, and review past cases once the culprit is caught.

Concept, design & build

Spyfall interface
LAB-04

Spyfall

A real-time take on the classic social deduction game. Everyone sees the same secret location, except the spy. Eight-minute rounds, shareable room codes, tap-to-open dossiers, and accusations for 3 to 12 agents.

Trust no one

Qinto interface
LAB-05

Qinto

Five clues, one answer. A daily-style guessing game with an engineer's-blueprint look. Pick a topic, work the clue sheet one reveal at a time, and watch every guess leave a trail. Dozens of topics across games, movies, science, sports, and more.

Every guess leaves a trail

Duelish interface
LAB-06

Duelish

A home for strict two-player web games, one-on-one duels you join by link, with no third wheel. The opening title, Bump Three, plays out on a padded 6x6 couch: toss throw pillows, bump a neighbor's piece aside, stack three into a big cushion, then line up three cushions to win. Built theme-first, so the same ruleset can wear an entirely new skin.

One-on-one, no spectators

Power Struggle interface
LAB-07

Power Struggle

A fast table of hidden influence, public claims, and private leverage for 3 to 6 players. Everyone guards two secret roles. On your turn you claim a power, pull money, expose a scandal, redirect funds, and rivals can call the bluff or block you, with cards flipped only when someone challenges. Outlast the table to win. Built theme-first: the opening skin, Deep State, plays it as modern-politics satire, and the same engine can wear an entirely new look.

Outlast the table

Community & Family

Software for the people closest to me. Private archives, shared calendars, and a memorial trusted by a grieving community. Small audiences, high stakes for getting it right.

CF-01Memorial, Community submissions, Interactive map

Garrett Jay Clark

A memorial built for the people who love Garrett: stories, photos, a timeline, a shared playlist, letters to the family, and the Garrett's Heart map, which lets anyone carry his memory wherever they go.

A public front door for a family: reunion notes, a live shared calendar, and a photo-forward homepage, backed by a private, login-only archive where the deeper family story lives.

CF-03Fantasy NFL, Head-to-head, Franchise league

Daily6

A head-to-head fantasy NFL league built on franchise ownership instead of player drafts. Own a franchise all season, then each week set six pro-team picks across scoring slots, Q1 through Q4, OT, and DEF, and let real results decide the matchup. A longtime idea of my brother Eric's that we're building together.

Whole-problem engineering, not one layer of it.

For more than 25 years I've worked across hardware, software, systems architecture, product design, infrastructure, data, and support. That breadth is what lets me see a whole problem instead of one layer of it.

As Head Software Engineer & Architect at Shelf2Cart Solutions, I lead the design, modernization, and support of systems used in real retail operations: floor-level workflows, hardware integration, applications, databases, APIs, printing and labeling, deployment, and long-term production support. Through Protech Solutions LLC, I help businesses with everything from immediate troubleshooting to complete systems. Listen first, learn the real constraints, recommend right-sized solutions, and stay accountable through implementation.
